Out on the Floor was started in August of 2009 by Greg Ryzio. As a child and young adult Greg danced both shows and competitions around the world and country and achieved many high results and rankings. Unfortunately after many years of competing the pressures of scores and rankings had its toll on Greg, and his passion for dance waned. He decided to pursuit a number of other professions, but nothing filled the void that had been left. Greg was first and foremost a dancer, and after a short break and a reinvention decided to return to the world of Ballroom Dance, this time approaching both the social and competitive aspects of the art from a different perspective. This reignited passion inspired in him the confidence and will to spread his happiness of dance with everyone around him.

Same Sex as well as Traditional Ballroom Dancing has been gaining popularity with the general public, not only in the United States but around the World. Out on the Floor's goal is to not only teach both the general public as well as LGBT community how to dance, but also give individuals the opportunities to practice what they learn and share their passion of dance with others through socials, parties, performances, and a variety of other events!
